Celebrate St Patrick's Day at Jet Park
Cambodia Fundraiser Modbury Soccer club Life Member Ron Carter is pursuing a dream by heading to Cambodia for 6 months as a volunteer with “GLOBALTEER” a charitable organisation that runs an orphanage and school and survives only through donations and the assistance of volunteers. Ron leaves early May and is funding the trip himself which includes airfares, vaccinations, accommodation, meals and hire of a bicycle to get to and from the school which is located 4km outside of Siem Reap. Next month, a fundraiser to build and fully equip a school classroom in Siem Reap, one of the poorest slum areas in S.E.Asia, is being held at the Jet Park clubrooms. Ron and his support team are aiming to raise $6000.00 to achieve their goal and give these less fortunate children a chance to escape the cycle of poverty that they have little hope of currently achieving. You can experience an unforgettable evening with “PATRICK BROWN” who is generously donating his time for the night, as he brings together an array of classic & popular hits. Open your hearts & your wallets to a range of items that will be auctioned on the night by “GREG MOULTON, CEO Brock Harcourts”, who is also giving his time for this worthy cause. All proceeds raised on the night will go directly to building this classroom not to any Administration costs. “So get a table together and help Ron really make a difference” When: Saturday 17th April 2010 Where: Modbury Soccer Club
