Yesterday evening at Hindmarsh Stadium, Modbury U17s lost a dramtic penalty shoot out 4-2 to Adelaide City, having been winning 2-0 with 10 mins to go they conceded two late goals and just couldn't get over the line.
A fantastic effort by Ray and his team. You have done the club proud.

On Wednesday night Modbury Seniors and Reserves finished their league season. The reserves wrapped up their league with a resounding 7-0 win to confirm their status as Reserves champions for 2010. The seniors won 2-0 with goal machine Shane Pearce bagging 2 more. 2010 has been a great success for the club with all 3 senior teams having won their respective leagues, a great effort by all the players, coaches and teams supporting them.
The club will be open on Friday night from 6pm to celebrate the teams feats, with the club providing some food. The U17's will also be in attendance after their final training session at Jet Park before they play in their grand final at Hindmarsh on Sunday.
So come on down and celebrate with the players. |

Congratulations to Earl Pudler and the team, after Round 17 results, Modbury are confirmed 2010 League Champions.
The Reserves are top of the table with one game to go, and the U19's wrapped up their league a few weeks ago.
All the squads and the club are looking forward to the top 5 Final series. Fixtures to be announced on Monday 16th August, after the completion of the league season. |

UPDATE FROM THE JUNIORS
Congratulations to Modbury Under 17s team who are in the Junior Premier League Cup Final at Hindmarsh Stadium later this month. Coached by Ray Coull and Duane Gray, the team has had a great year and is now carrying on the proud tradition of having Modbury represented in a Cup Final every year. The match is being played on Sunday 22nd August at 6pm.We wish the boys well and hope Modbury members and supporters will go along to Hindmarsh to cheer the team on to victory.
Former Modbury player, 15 year old Jacob Melling has been selected for the Australian national 'Joeys' team which travels to England for 3 weeks of competition next month. Congratulations to Jacob on this great achievement. Jacob played at Modbury from Under 10s through to Under 15s last year, before being taken up by SASI this season. We wish Jacob every success with the national team. |
