MODBURY JETS PLAYER SAYS KONICHIWA!
"Konichiwa from Japan!" So says Modbury Jets Under 19s/17s player Tim Henderson, who travelled to Hiroshima with the Adelaide United team for the return leg of their Asian Champions League match against Sanfrecca Hiroshima. This experience of a lifetime came to Tim courtesy of a scholarship arranged between AUFC and Banksia Park High School. Tim has recounted some of the highlights of his trip including travelling at 300kms an hour on a 'bullet train'; visiting a WWII memorial site in Hiroshima; meeting Australian Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek and of course, being a part of the Adelaide United support team and experiencing the excitement first hand of an international football match! Tim also got great advice from AUFC players ....."be patient your time will come, work hard, be ruthless and really want it (to be a professional footballer)!" We congratulate Tim on being selected for this fantastic oppprtunity; he has been a wonderful ambassador for Modbury Jets, Adelaide United and South Australia!
